Jane Brody Features Final Exit Network in the New York Times
March 18, 2008
Author's Note:
Jane Brody's column in Tuesday's edition of the NY Times featured an ongoing discussion of the right to die. Ms. Brody prominently featured Final Exit Network and the Exit Guide Program.
We are pleased that Ms. Brody has chosen to recognize Final Exit Network's commitment to serve people who are suffering intolerably from an incurable condition which has become more than they can bear.
We encourage all readers to write to Ms. Brody and thank her for this important coverage. We believe that Ms. Brody became aware of Final Exit Network after she received similar letters from Final Exit Network board member Sheila Redd and others who responded to an earlier column on this topic by Ms. Brody.
This column--the link is below--is part of an ongoing series by Ms. Brody on death with dignity. Your letters should help to encourage Ms. Brody, and perhaps others at the NY Times, to help spread the word about Final Exit Network's important mission.
Thank you for your help and support! I hope you enjoy the article.
