Q: Are scholarships available?
Yes, scholarships are available for partial conference registration. For information about the scholarship program, please contact the Conference Coordinator
Q. Do you have a roommate option to defray hotel expenses?
Yes, for those single individuals who would like to find a roommate, please contact us and we will let you know how to proceed.
Q: What is included in the conference fee?
All conference programming from Wednesday, March 21, 2018 to noon on Sunday, March 25.
Daily food: Breakfast, breaks, and lunch are included on Thursday-Saturday, breakfast only on Sunday morning. Appetizers and cash bar with one free drink ticket will be available on Wednesday night.Hotel reservations must be made separately. Celebration Dinner and other limited space programs may be offered that will be charged separately.
Q: What about restaurants and grocery stores?
An on-property restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch (both are included, however, in conference registration) and dinner. A small grocery story is just off-property within steps of the formal garden toward the lake.
Q: How do I get into Las Vegas for events in the city?
There is a shuttle three times a day into town and three times a day back, pick-up and drop-off at The Tropicana Casino. The trip into town is about 20-30 minutes. It is very easy to get into Las Vegas by car.
Q: How do I get tickets for special events?
The hotel concierge can help you find special events and obtain tickets for most events in the city.
Q: What time does the conference begin and end?
The conference begins at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 with an evening reception, light hors d'oeuvres, and an opening program. Shanaaz Gokool, CEO of Dying with Dignity Canada, will be the keynote speaker that evening.
Programming ends at 4:30pm on Saturday, March 24.
On Sunday, March 25, however, small groups will convene to work on an action plan for the future. Sunday’s small groups are expected to end at noon.

There is no cost to join the action groups, but you will need to sign up for these groups as each moderator will be working with a limited number of attendees. Details will be sent to attendees when the schedule is finalized.
Q: What is the conference registration and hotel cancellation policy?
The hotel will refund reservations cancelled up to 48 hours in advance. However, the hotel room block must be fulfilled and the hosting organization will have cancellations counted against the total and will be responsible for filling the room block. So, please do not register for the hotel if you are not sure that you will attend.
Hotel rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you plan to come, it is best to register for your hotel room as early as possible.
Conference registration can be cancelled through February 1, 2018. Upon cancellation, your registration payment will be refunded within 30 days, less a $50 administrative fee. Conference registration fees cannot be refunded after March 1, 2018.
Q: When does conference registration end?
Answer: Early registration rates end January 14; February 15 is the last day to register.
On site registration will be limited, if available. Once hotel capacity limits are met, registration will be closed.
Q: What will conference rates be once the early registration ends?
Answer: All registration rates will increase by $100 after the early bird registration ends.
Q: What is the hotel rate after the early bird conference cut-off date, January 14?
Answer: $159+ per night, plus $25 daily resort fee, plus applicable taxes. Suites will cost more.
The room block will be open until February 15, at which time, the room block will be closed for conference attendees.
Q: Does the hotel provide transportation to and from the Las Vegas airport?
Answer: No, however, several convenient options are available, such as Yellow Cab, Uber, and Lyft.
Q: Is there a vegetarian option for Friday’s “Celebration Dinner”?
Answer. Yes. We will do our best to meet any attendee's dietary requirements. Before the event, registrants will be contacted to choose dietary options.
Q: Will there be a food and drinks at the opening reception?
Answer: Before the event, registrants will receive one (1) drink ticket for the opening reception. Additionally, there will be a cash bar.
